Joining a webring links sites of a similar theme in a closed chain and can therefore provide a constant theme to the visitor who visits sites within the ring. It is hoped that visitors to one particular site will decide to visit the other sites too resulting in more page hits for all in the ring. Taking our webring as an example, a visitor may visit one site and in turn visit all the other sites in the ring. The visitor will see that Pembrokeshire has a lot to offer the tourist instead of seeing just one site. The advertising of a web site address by one member is effectively advertising all the other sites in the ring making it beneficial to all concerned.
Only sites connected with tourism in Pembrokeshire can join after they have been reviewed by the ringmaster.
It is very simple to become a member of the ring and will not take much of your time. You will first need to become a member of 'webring'. Do this by filling in the form here. When this is done, follow the instructions available from webring. When you have submitted your site, it will be reviewed and you will be either accepted or rejected as a member. If you are accepted, you will have to include a short piece of HTML in your current web page which will be sent to you. And that's it! The service is relatively straightforward after that and remember, it's free!
